Por Vida Tattoo
Q: This is my first time getting a tattoo or a piercing, how do I get one?

We take walk-ins but it's always best to schedule an appointment. We require a deposit to secure your time slot. If you have to cancel, please contact us at least 48 hours before you are scheduled.

Q: Once I’ve decided I want a tattoo or piercing, how does the process work?

Once we have received your deposit we will work with you to determine exactly what custom tattoo or piercing you want. Please bring any sketches, pictures, or artwork that will help us create your custom tattoo design.

Q: How do I prepare for my appointment?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your tattoo. For this reason, we ask that you come in sober-minded. It is important that you fully understand the tattoo aftercare process, and we don't want you to make decisions you may regret later.

Q: How safe are tattoos at your shop?

Por Vida Tattoo takes pride in our work and maintains a strict sanitary environment. We always make sure that our area is clean and you feel comfortable. As long as you follow the proper aftercare instructions, there is no reason for your tattoo to become infected or unsafe.

Q: Does getting a tattoo hurt?

People have different levels of pain threshold. Some people say tattoos hurt, others are fine with the sensation. Bottom line: if tattoos were unbearable, people wouldn't keep coming back for more.

Q: How do I pay for the tattoo?

Your deposit will go towards your final price. Once your tattoo is done, we accept all credit cards and, of course, cash.

Q: What about tipping?

Tipping your artist is not necessary but is always appreciated.

Q: How should I care for my new tattoo?

We will discuss caring for your tattoo and recommend specific aftercare products at your consultation and again at the time of your appointment.

Q: What are some of the possible complications if I get a tattoo?

It is very rare for someone to have a complication associated with a tattoo; however, it is possible for someone to have a reaction to the inks. We are more than happy to discuss any possible complications in person during your professional consultation, or feel free to call us at 505-896-2329.
